What is your Forum pic about? (Mooching Jeppos thunder)

That is a picture taken while I was sitting on a log around a fire on my 70th birthday...a while back. It was taken by @Michael458 s wife. Unbeknownst to me. I thought it was the best picture of me I had ever seen. Still do.
Much to my embarrassment, I had always thought it was a picture of judge Roy Bean.
Sorry billy. But I seldom enlarge the avatars to look at them clearly

Mine is a blacked-out image of William Foster (Michael Douglas) from the movie Falling Down. First, like the character in the film, I think of myself as an average guy. I try my best to live a good life, respect everyone, and leave the world a little better than I found. Like Foster, I have experienced many setbacks in life. Yet, I move forward in spite of the obstacles. Plus, I think the avatar screams average joe, which is me!

Target, sold and distributed by JPFO (Jews for the Preservation of Firearm Ownership) in the early 90's. Rarely ever seen now, one hung on the wall in the workshop of a very wise man, grew up seeing it regularly but never really "got it" in my younger years. Having family whose neighborhoods were bombed and relatives put in camps, it holds weight.

My first NC gun purchase! Turned out to be a disaster, but the pic still there, though the gun is gone....guess I need to update it!

To a 1911!

I did love that revolver, but it hated me.
I hear tell it's looking a little different these days...

My avatar is of me shooting my 1928A1 Thompson the day after the transfer was approved and I took possession.

Due to a change in my local Sherrif (from one that would sign NFA transfer papers to one that wouldn’t) I had to wait for 11 years to transfer it after I had paid for it.

That was one sweet day shooting!

Wow!

My avatar is from a PC game called Banner Saga. No real personal reason other than a friend noted that character has similar facial hair.

Jungle boots...When the Army said I couldn't wear them anymore and they prepared to field the most awful non-functional, non-camo piece of crap uniform ever (ACUs), I finally realized I needed to retire...my time in uniform had come and gone.

Mine is the most recent version of Ming the Merciless, 1980, (Max von Sydow). As I was searching for images of the original from the Flash Gordon days, I saw this one and realized a slight resemblance to me..... about 30+ years ago.
