VA Supreme Court Ignores Constitution, Keeps Gun Owners Disarmed at Lobby Day

So they refused to hear it choosing precedence over actually doing their job. Nice. You would think all those negatives listed would be reason to hear the case. Since it sounds like the lower court didn't bother to exercise necessary due diligence on the subject.

Stunning that VASC is saying it's the defense's fault that the lower court did not produce a transcript. Since when is it the responsibility of the defense to enshrine the court hearings via a transcript? And when has anyone ever had access to a court transcript the next day? Absolute garbage.

Yes it seems odd that the speed of the hearing the time between the hearing and the appeal seems to have played a part in the failure of the appeal. Does not make sense to me but I am not a lawyer.

The guy that wrote it. His name is listed as "AESOP".
Gotcha! Didn't know to which one of the three you were referring.

When a Governor and/or Supreme Court Justice is sworn in to their position, don't they swear to uphold the constitution of the US?? Isn't this automatic grounds for dismissal, firing, arrest or impeachment??
Can't we find a Sheriff or Police official with balls to arrest them???

No, I'm not talking fantasy about tarring and feathering these idiots. What can actually be done when a public official takes an oath of office but refuses to support what he swore to?? Surely, somewhere, there should be a legal recourse to remove or arrest them. Does it just take finding the right law enforcement agency with the balls to do it??

I believe that in Va an elected official can be recalled based on a petition signed by 10% of the eligible voters.

The Dumbocrats just raised it to 25% or at least filed the bills to do so. They know it’s an option and are trying to prevent it.

From what I read it takes 10% of the votes cast to recall. They are trying to change this to 25% of the registered voters and those numbers have to be gathered during a very small window of time. Essentially making it near impossible to oust them.

And true to his name, he wrote a good fable.

Apologies if my post above crossed a line. I vehemently disagree with almost everything AESOP wrote and reacted accordingly.

No apology necessary. No line crossed. I mostly posted it for the embedded Borat / Philip van Cleave video. That was painful to wartch. :(

You all know how reliable Facebook posts are. However, if these bills are real. Holy crap some castle storming is called for.

I have heard this on the internet, have not confirmed

I think the attempt was to get the VASC to say that the lower court was in error when it interpreted the law, but the VASC was not given enough info to make such a determination. They really had no choice but to reject the petition. Obviously, they didn’t rule on the merits, regardless of how oh so many posts across the internet describe it.
.

Looks like FB removed it, or the link is not complete.
It works for me when I click on it but I'm no computer wiz so the best way I know to read it is go to Facebook and look up Rick Ferron the Tank and scroll down to a post of Sen, Chase.

was a few years back. it was epic display of FU to those involved. I know the process was formally started and went pretty far, not sure if they ever got the person(s) removed from office though, will try and look into it later...
