No. Blunt would mean that they are succinct and to the point, listing facts and moving on.
They are easily irritated and short tempered, use misleading tactics to rally people who don’t do their own research and then flip their lids when you call them on it.
Think of a high school player trying to immolate babe Ruth, pointing to the bleachers Where he plans to hit it, then striking out, throwing a tantrum and blaming his teammates for not chanting his name for his failure and you’ll have it.

No. Not honest. They twist the words of politicians to meet their agenda and rally support. I don’t have any specific examples off the top of my head. But a made up example would be a Congress critter saying that he wants to see the background system evaluated for efficiency and them running an email blast and call for action saying that he wants more background checks.
This goes for the volunteers as well
They sometimes act so stupid it's like eating their own not so vocal base. Like if your not willing to go to a local or state meeting and talk about your guns your not worth listening too.

GRNC is the largest state 2A advocacy group in North Carolina. GRNC has done a lot of good things over the years regarding gun rights. As noted above, its long-time President Paul Valone comes across as full of himself at times.
My biggest beef with GRNC is that they solicit people to contact legislators and claim GRNC as their representative on 2A topics (every GRNC "Send This Message" I remember ends with "I will continue to monitor your actions on this important issue through alerts from Grass Roots North Carolina."). GRNC then goes to the legislature and pushes for issues its leadership favors while bargaining away other issues. I no longer use the convenience of copying GRNC's message texts because GRNC does not represent me on all 2A issues.
GRNC also advocates unusual things at time, like an Uber-CCW with LEO-like carry privileges but requiring extensive additional qualifications that were oddly similar to the Federal Flight-Deck Officer Program (hmmm, Valone is a commercial pilot).

Don't be silly. You have not been here long enough to know the ins and outs.
Sit back and rest a spell. Take in the opinions of several then, make the decision that fits you.
We may appear judgemental here but, we are a forgiving lot who live and let live withing the rules of decorum.

No, I just have been working & living life. I’ve given up on persuading anyone here of anything regarding the 2A or GRNC.
You all have determined that you don’t appreciate my labors, when I try to talk politely, I receive abuse & derision. It’s easy for others to criticize vs doing anything.
The reason we advocate for certain things like enhanced CCW’s at points is because in the words of Ben Franklin “politics is the art of the possible”. Free constitutional carry with no training & no restrictions on where to carry isn’t going to happen short of a Mad Max style disaster. Enhanced CCW for those who can demonstrate good prowess is a maybe...
I’m at the point where if/when the Dems rule NC in 2020, I’m just going to take comfort knowing you folks are rotting in hell with me.
And as far as GRNC not being honest & site staff giving us the boot, there is so much correction to that story that I’d advise anyone who advertises here to consider funds wasted.
And the sad thing is that GRNC really is the only gun rights group NC has.... you may not understand all the strategies employed, but there is a method to the madness.
Paul V is a bit of a jerk, but he knows his stuff.

You didn't receive pushback from talking politely You recieved it after you said you didn't WANT or NEED our (my) help volunteering at the booths at the gun show after a discussion about the rhino costumes
So maybe you tell the whole story on your part of that part and you just may be better recieved.

So you have already given up. Good to know. I’ve never had any animosity towards you or GRNC, but if you only believe in what you personally think is possible then I have no time for you. Nobody ever accomplishes anything decent, good or great using other peoples definition of what is possible. Thanks for all your ground work, but you are not the guy to lead.

See this is my point, many many months ago, I posted on how easy it is for the written word to misconstrued online to folks who want to read things a certain way & be offended.
It’s why I prefer online talking to typing or texting people.
I have been told by several people that I said something that I never recall saying, it’s a huge jumble. Eventually, I just stop caring.

I shoot with Paul occasionally and he seems like a decent guy and I’ve donated money in the past. I apparently missed the thread that got heated and I’m ok with that. I do however remember the costumes that were worn and thinking that it was not the way I would have approached that. I also have never dealt with politicians and have the belief that they are all full of crap. Maybe a foolish stunt is what it takes to get their attention. I do believe in the stated purpose of GRNC and hope to see Paul at a match soon.

Funny how ones own meat can make you miss all kinds of stuff
I remember it being a case of where they preached about the need for us commoners to dress and act professional and then pulled out the Rhino suit. The suit was probably effective at embarrassing the squishy RINO types and lampooning is an old, effective, political tactic. Things went south when instead of apologizing and recognizing that better communication up front could have prevented the problem they doubled down and rubbed peoples noses in the dog pile they dumped on our doorstep.
Yes, they are the organization we’ve got. I wish they’d take a few lessons from VCDL.
If you haven't seen it, watch the south park episode where the dude is slapping everyone. It's like someone says something and the guy slaps them. Not enough to hurt, mind you, but enough to get a "wtf" out of you.
