Hey y'all! I'd like to get a .30-06 bolt action rifle. However, the specific set of features I want on one is causing me to have trouble finding one that's "perfect!" for me. Custom work is definitely possible, but I'd rather not if I can avoid it. I wanted to see what y'all could recommend for commercially available models that meet the following criteria:

-Caliber of .30-06
-Threaded barrel for mounting a suppressor or muzzle brake
-detachable box magazine, reasonably-inexpensive to get multiples of, quick to reload, and at least 5, preferably 10 rounds capacity
-Lightweight (at least enough to comfortably carry around, preferably just a normal classic wooden hunting rifle stock with a lightweight-normal profile barrel)
-sub-MOA guarantee or at least high probability thereof
-sling mount for a bipod would be fantastic.
-Somewhere in the nebulously wide $400-$1400 range

There are tons of rifles out there that meet a *few* of these criteria, but I can't find any that meet *all* of them. For example, the Remington 700 SPS has a threaded-barreled .30-06, but the magazine is a 4rd hinged floorplate magazine. If I wanted a rifle in 308 or 6.5 creedmoor, I'd have options for days. But I specifically want .30-06 and that's throwing a wrench in my gears. It's weird because it's a combination of wanting typical hunting rifle features, and modern tactical features, and I'm wondering what the perfect rifle is for meeting in the middle of the two. Thanks!

Edit: Currently it's looking like the Savage Axis II Precision rifle is my best option, but I wanted to see if there are others. https://www.savagearms.com/content?p=firearms&a=product_summary&s=57553

Tikka makes a model in their T3X line that's called "Camo". The Camo model doesn't actually have a camouflaged stock so far as I can tell, so it's a bit confusing. It does come chambered in 30-06, has threaded barrel, detachable box magazine, and is pretty lightweight at 6.6 lbs. It has a standard a sling mount. Tikka guarantees MOA accuracy in the T3X rifle series. The rifle comes standard with 3 round detachable magazines, but you can find 5 round magazines on Midway USA.

Remington 700 SPS with threaded-barreled .30-06
add MagPul hunter Stock LONG action.
add MagPul AICS LONG magazine adapter

Buy a Browning if you want an heirloom. Ruger American if you just want an accurate rifle that is affordable - I'd buy that over any Savage any day (having owned both).

The Remington 700s we have are rust-prone workhorse guns that should cost half of what they charge and if I didn't trade/buy them cheap no way I'd spend money on them.

I've got an A-bolt in .30-06 although it's not threaded it's got the smoothest action on any rifle I've ever shot. It helps that it's a tack-driver too with most any factory ammo (besides Rem).
2x Rem 700s in .30-06 and they're good enough. My Nephew has the "GoWild" Camo edition of the Ruger American and it's threaded and comes in Cerakote and it's the nicest $550 rifle I've ever shot.

I have been looking for a rifle like you are talking about. One major sticking point that I have found is not possible is if a barrel is threaded for a suppressor and is .30 cal. It needs to be 0.75" at the muzzle so the can can index correctly against the barre with 5/8" threads. Also, you need enough meat on the barrel after threading to prevent the brake/can breaking off the end of the barrel when you shoot it. That's why you shouldn't thread a .30 cal barrel to 1/2" thread spec.
