@fieldgrade, if you clicked on this, it's OK, you can safely proceed.

Nearly every Sunday for supper we'll get together with the family. A few weeks ago, Joanne decided to try the Crack Macaroni and Cheese that @svtf150 and his wife brought to a get together at Battery Oaks. It might have been for my send off get together. Anyway, of course, the dish was a huge hit. Last week, it was requested that we bring it again. It got gobbled up.

Yesterday, it was requested again for today. It's currently in the crockpot.

It's very easy to make and it's like....well, crack. It's hard to stop once you start eating it.

1 can of corn (don't drain)
1 can of creamed corn
1 stick of butter (we only use 1/2 stick)
2 diced jalapenos (add jalapenos to your desired taste. I removed the seeds because of the women and children.)
1/2 of a 1 pound block of Velvetta (we use 3/4 of the block of the plastic cheese)
1 cup of macaroni

Dump it in a crockpot and cook on Low for 3 hours. Easy, peasy and it turns out great. Thanks to Mrs @svtf150 for exposing us to this wonderful dish.

**EDIT** I was informed that the correct name for the dish is Crack Corn. I edited the thread title. We now return to your regularly scheduled programming.

@Geezer going off those measurements, about how many people will it feed?

Bought my stuff to make this tomorrow.

Will be looking for pics of the dish and a follow up report from you on this one sir. Please let us know.

DON'T.........................DO...............................IT !!!
IT'S A TRAP !!!
Just because if Geezer still lived in Conway I would have driven six hours round trip to burn his house to the ground for sending me that pic is no reason to deprive another member of the enjoyment of said pic.

Six adults were there tonight and there was maybe a tablespoon left when it was over.

For 2 I’m going to cut the measurements in half. Thanks!

Don't, you'll want left overs.

I’m not much of a leftovers person. I try to fix just enough.

It’s in the pot right now minus the peppers I’m off to find. Pouring rain so I will not be working today.

As far as the brisket it took 14 hours and I will not be using Lawry’s again. Eatable but the on the salty side for sure. Recipe was off Youtube. I should have tasted what Lawry’s was like before adding.

I double the jalapeños and caramelize them in some bacon grease before going in the crock pot. Makes a pretty tasty difference.

I loved it and so did the wife. That’s a dish that gets saved. Next time I’m going to put it in the smoker for 30 minutes after cooked on a smoke only setting. I had 3 servings and the wife 2. Should have made the pics but now you would only see a large spoonful.

My brisket was good but the shelf sauce was very good.

For the love of all things cheesy, someone post a damn picture!

Great. I'm doing the no fun food eating style and y'all gonna resurrect this one?

Darn you all to Hades...

The boston butt turned out amazing. Doesn’t hurt waking up four times to spray with apple juice and apple cider vinegar mixture.

The crack corn mix is on now. If rime allows I’m going to put it in the PitBoss on smoke uncovered for twenty minutes. This was beginning of the cook. Its done and man this rub was killer. The bark turned out well as I left it unwrapped until the 175 temp. 7.5 pounds of yummy.

I'm going to get my stuff for this now. Putting some ribs on the smoker today, this should be the perfect side to accompany.

I made this tuesday, wanted something simple to cook I could just leave. Did the 1/2 block velveta, with full stick of butter and used a white/yellow corn mix for the whole kernal corn. Turned out great, there were no left overs. Between this, a cajun pork loin from KJs and some biscuits out of a bag I think I had maybe 19 minutes total in meal prep time, half that time was dicing the jalapenos.

Just got everything in the instant crock pot.

Because of the mixed eaters, I skipped the jalapenos, and replaced it with a few shakes of Slap Ya Mama. It'll add a little heat, without turning anyone away because there are chunks of OMG jalapenos.

If women and sissies are going to be eating, I'll remove the seeds and membrane and dice the jalapenos into small pieces. You still get the jalapeno flavor without the heat.

Plus, the only jalapenos I have are in jars of pickled quail eggs.
