yeah, it's km/h, but at almost 250 mph it's still impressive!!

(And I'm convinced Juan Pablo would've had a bigger NASCAR fan base if he'd gone by J.P. Montoya :D)

Awesome vids.. Thanks...But I can't stand Juan Pablo. He was a crybaby in NASCAR

Impressive. $2,700,000.00 can buy a lot of things but only one of these. Maybe $70,000.00 tops for my "go fast" if I had money to burn.

I like JPM, been a fan of his road racing for a long time.
Cool video, impressive car, but never interested me (yes yes, I know I can never afford one anyway - just find them ugly)

Tired of being treated like an outcast in this forum; because of what I have and don't.

I'd like to trade my Bugatti Chiron with very low round count for a CZ in similar condition. Will add cash if necessary. Need to make a deal this week so I can hold my head up high at the Western M&G.

P.S. Please someone, I'll obviously be without a car and need transportation to and from the M&G.

The CZ will drive you there and back...speed will depend on the model and caliber! Great choice in upgrading your Bugatti to a CZ...

Apples to oranges, but just foood for thought:
Top Fuel dragster goes to 0-335mph in under 4 seconds.

This car can go across the start line at close to full speed and the dragster would likely catch it and pass it by the end of the 1/4 mile. Now THAT is fast.

We consume about 17 gallons of fuel from the time we start the car, burn out, back up and make a pass. That's for a fuel funny car.

Had been around racing all my life. Mostly street bikes. I did see my first drag race in like 1978. But I didn't see one for many years.
In like 2004 I went back and saw them at Sears Point in Napa. Man, it totally blew me away. Seeing them in person..... you just can not possibly overstate how amazing it is. The violence of the engine and acceleration is unbelievable!

This is an older video... The fuelpump used for this display is a 50gpm Waterman "Red" pump... The pumps now are dual section 110gpm+ pumps... The gpm is established at 8000rpm
19-22 gallons of fuel are used on the "fast" big show dragsters...

Funny though to think that probably 99% of people could achieve the same time as he could (perhaps even better). Launch control, AWD, traction control and ABS basically mean it's a 2-button ride. Zero talent required.

But I'd bet >90% of people would freak out not much past entering triple digits. I ran a 300ZX I used to have up to 140+ twice, and most people I tell that to look at me like I've lost my mind.

There's a huge difference in people being willing to run 10-15mph over the speed limit, and crossing the 200mph barrier.

Yes, we could all do it because of the available equipment, but most wouldn't have the nerve/confidence to keep it jammed to the floorboard. :D
