I’ve had my concealed for 10+ years. Other than that “training” class, the only other training I’ve had was a full day Defensive Handgun course with Defensive Concepts NC...a class I didn’t enjoy at all.

I reached out to Ryan to see about some 1:1 training and we scheduled 4 hours for today, with the plan being half pistol and half rifle. I told him my goal was to gain some skills I could practice on my own.

Instead of watching a video, and trying to replicate it without knowing if I was doing it right or not. I wanted to be shown, try it, and get immediate feedback.

We needed up meeting at the range at Brandon’s house and using his range. So it was me and two instructors. I feel the four hours was absolutely money well spent. I think @Apex Defense Group will at least vouch that I improved as the day went.

My plan now is to practice these skills for a couple months and then try to do a 2-hour session every six months with an hour of pistol and another for rifle. Maybe squeeze in an actual group class along the way.

I really enjoyed their teaching style. We had a great time slinging and laughing, while definitely having some quality instruction.

Definite improvement over the course of just 4 hours. Absolutely owning the cadence drills at the end with throttle progression while keeping cadence perfect. Awesome shooting today, and of course, thanks for bringing out the cool toys and for all the laughs and for being so easy to work with. I look forward to more range time with you! -Ryan

Not sure if Brandon told you or not, but I showed him the AR57 when he took me back to the truck. He wanted to make sure it was coming back when I book more time. :D
