A) Holsters are everything.
B) Just get a good holster.
C) Don't be d***ing around with the sidearm. Leave it in the holster until you need it.
D) Enjoy.
This. Use a holster that doesn't require removing the pistol every time you arm/disarm and leave it in the damn thing.

I think the guy should get someone besides his mom to cut his hair & beard. Also, he could say what he says without sounding so retarded.

I recall the first time I saw someone carrying a 1911 with the hammer back (years ago, before owning one), and wondered how safe it was. Then I bought one, learned how to use it, practiced, and got a good holster for it. If I see someone carrying "ready", I now assume he/she has more confidence and competence than the "super safety sammy" method.

A lot of this reminds me of the movie, Without a Clue. Watson (Kingsley) says to Holmes (Caine), "Have you got your gun?" Holmes says he has. Watson, "Have you got the bullet?"

I think of the empty chamber approach as to the threat. If you have the time, a second or more to draw and rack the slide, is there still a threat? You could draw your gun to charge, and the threat has gone, you may have just committed a felony (brandishing) for another act. Of course when you're threatened the legal things aren't at the very top of your list, but should be prepared and trained for.

I think she used the Flowbee on his hair and beard. Because he certainly has "The Bubble Boy" look going on!

I don't give people a lot of grief over chambering or not. If they wish to carry un-chambered, I figure it's probably good since they apparently have a fear of not handling their weapon properly. And generally if you have a fear of something, you're not yet prepared or practiced enough. They'll most likely become confident at some point to relax and treat their weapon like a tool on their belt instead of a running chainsaw.

This for me, too. I carry a Shield 9mm for edc. One is chambered and for me, I'm good. It may not be the same for others but I don't lose any sleep over the notion.

I always love how these "trainers" are such the expert (according to them anyway) and we, the audience are the total idiot fools....
I didn't watch the clip enough to hear what special operations, sniping, covert unit he came from but my question is, wasn't there ever any regular enlistees?? Was every one a special operator, seal, covert something?? No just regular guys??

If everybody was a face shooting, door kicker, secret squirrel type then who the f#ck was driving the trucks, doing the paperwork, ect?!!!

Exactly! What most don't realize is that in the US Army, it takes approx. 16-22 support troops working hard to keep one Infantryman, Paratrooper or ASOC type in the field; fed, watered, and oriented on the enemy/mission. In the Marine Corps it takes 12-16 support troops to do the same for the 0300s, due to the smaller size of the Corps and the generally smaller scale missions.

I don't know how many Infantry, Paratroops/Rangers and SF there are in the Army, but in the USMC, there is generally 172,000-180,000 in the whole Corps, with the Infantry, FAST BN, Recon/Force Recon, MARSOC/Raiders only come out to about 9,500-11,500 at any given time.

So that's a lot of S-1, S-2, S-3, S-4 and Air Wing (and Navy for that matter) all supporting the guys on the FEBA and beyond the FEBA. Without those extremely hardworking non-0300 MOS Marines and Naval Forces taking care of the 0300s on the ground, the Marine Corps couldn't function at all.

God bless those support troops that all too often get zero credit for the difficult, tedious work they do!

Titan 25acp no way I will carry that thing cocked and locked. I want to keep my groin intact. The gundoubles in value just by adding bullets. No way i am going to trust that safety.

Unload it, slip it into a heavy wool sock and swing around your noggin' like a melee weapon....That's about all it's good for.

Another thread of silly BS about beards and haircuts.

In the chamber and cocked. Glock, no external safety.

Just checked the poll numbers...62:1...interesting.

Might do a follow-up poll cross-referencing your preferred sidearm and beard style. The ramifications could be yuge.

I was just a regular guy. And it was awesome

Man, tough crowd. A crowd full of fashion police, at that!

The guy in the video made legitimate points. Maybe not any points ya'll needed to hear, but still legitimate.

This is off post but I've got to ask. Maybe a couple of you younger guys can tell me what's going on. In the vid above why in the world are they (mostly girls) cutting up their jeans?
