Here’s what I am working with.

It’s a 10/22 with a 18” Kidd barrel threaded (and crowned), stock trigger I worked over a little and did the Bolt release mod, Boyd’s Stock, and Crossfire 2 scope.

What I am looking to upgrade to:

Vortex Viper PST 4-16x

And might just do the Ruger drop in trigger pack to start with, and a long Mag release.

I like the Boyds stock better myself..just my preference. Beautiful gun.

I'm liking that Victor stock.

Not sure if you were asking for opinions, but here's mine anyway:

I'd save the money from the stock and get a new trigger. You'll see way more improvement from groups (which is what it looks like you are after) from the trigger vs stock or upgrading your glass. Next I'd do the glass. Save the stock for last.

I have the scope already, and there really is no budget on this build.

Oh snap. Sky is the limit then. Hmm...the possibilities. Kidd Trigger kit or maybe Brimstone?

You fellas got me really wanting to build a precision semi-auto .22. I've got several bolt guns that shoot like laser beams, but no semis.

How come we don't see you at the DPRC percision match?

I’ve considered the Kidd trigger, but this gun is pretty much open to see where I want to take it over time.

Sunday is my 2 gun Rimfire practice day. Saturday is for matches and (if not shooting a match) hanging out with the wife.

It takes less then an hour to shoot the precision match. You can still practice afterward. ;)

Sorry to hijack your thread @MadMardigan BTW, get the Kidd trigger.

Got the stock ordered. Still looking at trigger options.

EGW 20MOA Base also ordered
There is no better trigger than Kidd if you can afford it. I have a Volquartsen in my build. Nice trigger...but it's not Kidd!

Oh...and I recommend the Kidd trigger kit. Not the whole assembly. Trust me, the kit is better and it costs $100 less than the full assembly.

@Studentofthegun - wouldn't the KIDD two stage be a better fit for this type of application?

Either one will work just fine. I often use the trigger pinch method. Index finger on trigger, thumb behind the trigger guard.

Its looking great. Will you be installing the Titan cheek riser kit too?

Looking good. Do you chamfer the rear of the bolts on your 10/22 builds? I find it helps with cycling subsonic and standard velocity rounds.

Hadn’t done that. Something to consider.

I need new rings first, and see how it cycles with match ammo first
