Finally got around to getting low rings and mounting the Vortex Viper.
0 it with my red light. Hopefully out this weekend to get a good 0, and make a dope sheet to 250.

Looking good! Which rings did you end up using?
I debated between the Victor and the Magpul Hunter stock. Since I ended up buying a slightly used KIDD supergrade, I'm stuck with the Hunter for a while. Really like those Victors though!

I didn’t lap them, they CNC them I think, which today’s process is probably accurate enough
Cool. I have a set sitting here, unopened and wasn't sure how much work they would need, if any.

Honestly, I don’t know much about lapping.
lol, me neither! My neighbor let me borrow a kit he got a while back, think it is a Wheeler one. I haven't tried it yet though.
The only other ring/base I have is a LaRue and they supposedly don't need lapping. I don't think they make anything for a 1" diameter rimfire optic though. At least not one that would be low enough.

I do torque the rings with a fat wrench.
