Anyone cut down a wood factory wood stock for a Ruger 10-22 SBR?
Have a charger that I want to do something different than a side folder on it.
Was thinking about just cutting down one of the birch stocks being the plastic is not solid and would need to fill it and do not want to mess with that.

I have a Charger and interested in your question - but I'm not sure what you're going for. Are you just trying to shorten the length of pull?

Good thing is if you mess it up, they’re cheap and easy to get another one to try again.

Guessing you’re wanting to shorten the forend for your charger barrel. What are your plans for the butt end?

Not sure for the butt end.
Want to find a carbine or youth stock with shorted LOP
And chop the front. Think it would be cool if I could move the band back on the front.

I had a Blackhawk Axion(m?) stock. Half the front is entirely free float and divided enough you could chop it and have it loom pretty good.

By the time I find a bull barrel, cut it and thread it I will have more money than I want in it. Then 200 stamp.

Have the threaded 10.5 charger now as an SBR with a brace, just plan to change the stock.

If I could find one cheap I would look at that for sure.
It's not cheap, especially once you add the Tech Sights, but it looks good.

If that barrel is a 16 inch I may would have it short enough not to cut it down. Just need enough threads to attach a can.

If anyone has a 10-22 youth stock and could measure it I would really appreciate knowing the length of barrel and how much h barrel past the wood. They have a shorter LOP and front from what I recall.

Since adding sights is an option, are they doing it themselves? Or do they stock multiple versions?

It would be worth a call/email to see if they’d mount that front sight back an inch.

I think they are referring to adding $ for the sights. I do not think they build them for you. But not sure.

The Tech Sights are a replacement front and an aperture unit that screws onto the receiver holes. If you get the TS200 it gives you horizontal and vertical adjustment on the aperture so you don't have to mess with the front.
