I saw this and think it's dumb as crap. I guess the bad guy will wait for the kids to move all of the chairs out of the way so they can pull the wall out before he begins to shoot. Why don't they just make the classroom doors bulletproof and install locks on the doors that only the teacher can lock/unlock?

Less expensive to arm each staff member with
a 9mm and an AR.

Issue all students a wrist rocket and a bag of 100 glass marbles.

Good idea but the time to react and deploy it might be toooooo long. I still like basic reinforcement of doors with a locking system which can be engaged from not only inside the classroom but also the school’s main office. If the is a problem on the 100 hallway the office staff can activate locks on the 200, 300 and 400 hallways ASAFP! It would basically be a simple version of say a prison type control panel. Retrofitting would not be to hard ... but then parents would scream their child could be lockdown like in a prison ... until an attack occurred.

What these politicians can not understand is that 'Prohibit' can not STOP anyone from committing a crime.

The Gun-Free School Zones Act (GFSZA)

is an act of the U.S. Congress prohibiting any unauthorized individual from knowingly possessing
a loaded or unsecured firearm at a place that the individual knows, or has reasonable cause to believe,
is a school zone as defined by 18 U.S.C. § 921(a)(25).
