This is actually an inquiry to help my AR9, but I figured this was the best place to post it given its a handgun caliber.

My AR9 won't feed 147gr Speer Lawman because of how flat the nose of the bullet is. No feed ramps plus Colt pattern mags and lower equals no dice. So it got me wondering, are there any 147gr mass produced FMJ loads that have more conical shaped bullets? I want these things to stay subsonic through my can on the AR9 so that means 147gr or heavier. I know Fiocchi also does a 158gr that I am going to try. Anyone with any suggestions as to brands?

I got a screaming deal on these 147 blazers. They feed flawlessly with my Colt pattern lower.

I’m fairly sure Winchester white box 147gr is flat nosed too ...

Nice. I'll have to contact him and see what I can get to run. Not super concerned about soft shooting, I just want it to feed 100% reliable and stay subsonic.
I’m no ballistics expert, and someone will correct me if I’m wrong, but I think as soft as they shoot they must be equally slowwww.

Order a hundred and see how they run. I don’t know if it’s the coated bullet or what, but some of my guns don’t like them.

They stay subsonic. Quiet as a churchmouse out of my cans.
The Scorpion is 100% with them.

Some of mine dont like em, either, and Im quite positive it's the coating as everything else is 100%. Also, it's only the guns I've tuned down to a 14 pound recoil spring in them that don't like em. The factory 16 pound recoil springs in my CZs slam em on home but the 14 pounders cant quite get them fully into battery. No failures in guns with full power recoil springs for me.

Blazer 147 grn aluminum is conical

If I'm not mistaken Georgia Arms 147 grain FMJ is conical as well. I have some at the house and I'll try to remember to check this evening. Used to grab the 500 round cans at the gun shows for a reasonable price.
