Four new lower puppies assembled and waiting. His/hers pairs.
Two will host .223 wylde 1/8-18" uppers once I get the parts in...trying to decide if I should go 20" on the other two, or 16".
I have several more in the safe from 16" down.
All will be .223 wylde.
What would you do?

I have a 16" that i keep coming back to. Used to think 18 was it but once I figured out how accurate and well balanced the 16 was...Well you get the idea. Are you going to suppress?

I'm a fan of consistency in similar style rifles. But I'm an odd duck that way.

Buy more ammo and fewer rifles!

No suppressor plans...but that can always change.

Build one into a really accurate 16" Recce type of rifle. Low to mid (fixed 4x, 1-4x, 1-6x,3-9x, 2.5-10x) power optic, free float rail...bipod is optional.

My 16" Recce is my favorite rifle by far

You're an odd duck in a lot of ways but that's neither here nor there...

I would sell two of them to get better parts for the other two... but I'm a whore for quality small parts on my ARs... Even my 15-22 has a CMC flat trigger...

I can't really advise and what you should do as far as barrel length, etc., but I will say you have made an impeccable choice in stocks.

Picked one up on a whim....and liked it, so I got 3 more. I may actually change all of them out to the fixed version.

I purchased one accidentally. No really. I thought it was a regular adjustable but it was on sale. I installed it anyway and it fit me perfectly. Also, very solid compared to the standard 6 pos.

16" Rainier Match w/ midlength gas

I'm a firm believer in the 20 inch tube, but 18 inches isnt too bad, 20 inches is the baseline for all your ballistic information

I was hesitant at first when I was building my rifles to try a 20 upper . But it all depends what you are wanting to do with it . I use it to hunt with quite a bit . My kids and wife loves to shoot it as well . It definitely cycles smoother than My 16 inch middy or carbine gas . I have mine set up with a 4-12 scope . If you don't have one I'd say pull the trigger for sure it's nice to have a variety .
