That's great information right there. I've never been able to get a pancake to ride right either. Of course I love pancakes, both the sweet fried dough and holster.

I never made Avenger holsters until i was asked by Hudson make some for their new handgun. I made a shitton of them & found i really like em. I also do a variation of avenger that is a crossdraw.

A lot of the rock solid is how far forward the belt channel extends. And the horsehide of course.

And the same "rock solid" can be achieved with a pancake if you thread it to straddle the 3 o'clock belt loop on your pants....

I like the sweat guard on @gunbelt’s Avenger. That’s always a must-have on my leather holsters, and to my knowledge not an option on commercially available Avenger style holsters.

I've seen people put it on a belt without putting it behind the 3 o'clock belt loop plenty of times and it flops around like a mule's ear....

I'm sure it would. IMO any OWB has to incorporate a belt loop to be stable.
