The sheer volume of slaps and thuds downrange is terrifying. No wonder they had to make a special film to get GIs to engage the thing.

In my younger days shooting a full auto 1919 from the hip at Red Brush Rifle Range in Boonville, IN around 1991. If you look closely you can see several spent cartridge cases in the air.

I think I'm down to 3 1919's
Have not shot them in a few years.
Fun guns built some also have all barrels 308 3006 and 8mm

Man I with I could find more 8mm at 40 a case of 1400 rounds....

Finally found an anti aircraft tripod 😎

I was building those mounts for years. Using the MG42 tripod.
Fun set up but add a hanging weight or they flip if using it standing up. I used a lead block.
