Here's a little single shot Depression Era rifle I found. It is unusual for a few reasons. First, it was only made from 1936 - 1939. A total of 308,000 were made. Second, it has a 27" barrel. Third, the barrel is one piece with the bolt action receiver. This one must have been leaned in a corner for several decades... it's in great shape!

I've got one of these that is missing the bolt. I ever bought one because I could buy a complete rifle for the price of the bolt.

You did well.... There are very few who survived as well as that one did

I have the one my grandpa had that they used to kill hogs with. It's not in as good a shape as this one.

I have one of those I inherited from my granddaddy. It's a laser, though my eyes need a good bit of light to use those buckhorn sights. The stock on his is a bit beat up. Some initials (I think) are carved into it...and they aren't his. You can't put rounds through it very fast, but it's fun to shoot. And he used to kill hogs to butcher with his, too.

Iā€™ll take it!
