Today was the first day I have tried shooting with my right arm after tearing up my rotator cuff and bicep tendon. I had surgery in early March and have had to shoot left handed. I was about 10 yards back. Overall I am happy, but I have some work to do. This gun is much more accurate than what the target shows. I only shot 50 rounds and had no pain. Things are still healing, but I should get my accuracy back with time and practice.

I picked up this PPQ up last month and really love how it carries in my White hat holster. I have a P365 that has been my main carry gun, but now people seems to have lost their minds I think I am going to carry this more.

I waited 6 months before I shot again after my shoulder sugery. Mine was pretty torn up. I still haven't got my arm strength back after 2 years. Glad you are shooting again.

For me, it was a couple months of an immobile arm and sleeping in a reclining chair. No driving for 3 months. PT for 3 months. I wasn't allowed to lift anything heaver than a can of soda for some time. My other shoulder also needs to be done and I'm putting it off as long as possible at least until the memory of the first operation fades.

If I can ask, what was the surgery recovery like?
Can only speak for myself....worst thing I have ever endured...I have had cancer 3 times with 3 surgeries and 45 straight radiation treatments...a walk in the park side of that shoulder surgery. 1 year minimum to even Feel like I was ok....not back to normal ,mind you, just OK.
I took the giant pillow they had me attached to for 6 weeks down on the range and shot the Hell out of it. With my Left hand.

I have a friend that may be going they it soon..
It depends a lot on how bad the tear is and the person. I had a large tear in the rotator cuff and also my bicep tendon. They were worried about the bicep detaching and having to open my arm up to repair.
I have had back surgery and they wanted to do it again but I have been able to avoid it with core exercises to make those muscles stronger.
The recovery for my shoulder has been horribly painful. Once the nerve block wore off it sucked until they changed my pain meds 2 days later. They gave me oxycodone start with and it did not touch the pain so they told me to double it and I could still feel the same pain but I did not care. That was the craziest feeling BTW. My wife got on the phone with the doctor and said she had watch me go through back surgery and never take anything for pain except when they made me take something at the hospital before they would discharge me. When I say I am in pain it has to be major pain, so they called something with morphine in it and that solved the pain with out the druggy feeling too. I was able to change over to OTC pain killers after week of surgery. I still had pain killers left and had to use them with Physical therapy because it SUCKED really bad for the first month.
You are in a sling for 6 weeks. Most need to sleep in a recliner. I think I was in the recliner until Mid May. You cannot lift anything over pound once you are out of the sling. It then goes up from there. Right now the doctor has me restricted to no more than a gallon of milk when reaching out and no more than 10 lbs next to my body. Full healing takes takes about 9 months a year.
I still have a couple months of Physical therapy left maybe longer things are still tight but the doctor felt like it was normal with the injury I had and will get better with time. I have no muscle loss just stiffness and soreness. One thing is for sure with out Physical therapy you will not recover from this surgery.

I was able to shoot without much pain today, but when I go to rack the slide on my p365 it can hurt my arm, which is another reason I am carrying my PPQ.

You are a tough old bird.....I used to say that to my mother too. Glad you're still in the world!
