A friend of mine is trying to sell their vehicle and I don't know anything about Jeeps.

I don't really trust free appraisal websites and don't have subscriptions to anything (also sometimes maybe they don't list an option something has).

Maybe one of you fellas knows Jeeps well or has access to professional appraisal tools? Maybe one of you works at a dealership?

All I know is it's an immaculate red four-door with 37k miles. Every option possible on a Sahara and a black hard-top (Mopar). It also has the factory soft-top.

If you could comment what they might expect in private sale versus dealership trade I would greatly appreciate it!

    Eh, about 7k.
Just come on down and I'll save you/him the hassle of having to list it etc and I'll have the cash ready for you. You know, cause Im such a nice guy haha

In all honestly, I do like those 4 door models, but just not in the budget right now
Hope he has good luck in his sale

I don’t think he’ll get over $25k in a private party sale but who knows because Wrangler prices of all years are ridiculous. Around here, 2012-2014 Wranglers are typically listed in the $20-25k range, depending on upgrades, if that helps. Looking on the Raleigh Craigslist site right now and there is a ‘12 JKU Sport with 37k miles listed for $19995 and a ‘12 Rubicon with 22k miles for $28000.

Is it an auto or a manual?

Edit: for some reason I read it was a 2012 instead of a 2013. Doesn’t make a big difference other than my references above are not apples to apples

That used to matter but not since jeeps became mall mobiles. It doesn’t negatively or positively effect the price it just doubles his customer base.

And I agree that unless he has some really nice upgrades 20-25k is his most likely sell point.

Im guessing 25k plus.........just depends. They tend to hold their value......Do some comparing with similar models at KBB, autotrader, Carmax, etc.

If they put it up for 18k it will sell pretty quickly
