2017 Trailcam Videos

From my bathroom window cam yesterday about 3pm

I got a few does in a family group behind the house. They make nice buck bait. In years past I had some nice 8s and a 10 pointer but I am sure the neighbors get to hunt more than I do.
My then-11 year old got a shot at one of them right at last light but missed.

I've put out a buck mix on occasion that has peanuts in it. That seems to draw foxes in. The property I hunt alternates between having red and grey foxes. The grey's have been around the last few years. Seem I have not seen a red fox since the property around us was clear cut.

Here are a couple of videos fresh from my trailcam. One black bear, one of whitetail bucks.
I'd love to see what you get on your trailcams, so Post'em up!

What part of Stokes is this?
I have yet to see a bear in our area of NC.
It is so cool to see.
And the bucks you have are amazing. I seem to live in the barren section of the county.
Little scrubs and spikes but somebody has to see after them I guess. :p

I live right beside Hanging Rock State Park. So, the bucks grow a little bigger in the safety of the park.
The bears were on my hunting land, very close to North Stokes High School.
I have heard from neighbors that bears are increasing rapidly, mostly along the Dan River.
My son-in-law just sent me a pic of a bear taken near Sandy Ridge, good size.

Soooo cool. I live in the SR area. Maybe bear meat in my future.
I have seen two deer all season, usually I see Doe but that is not even happening.
Not sure the problem but my take is the population is down considerably.

We have a group of small deer, mostly does, that feed here every night.
But, the big bucks usually disappear as soon as rifle season starts.

I've seen a couple of buck and doe on my cam at my stand, but mostly I've seen bear. At least 4 and maybe as many a 6 visit my stand every night. Nothing shows up during legal shooting hours though. At least not yet. I have no desire to hunt bear, but a deer or two would be nice.
