2020 Silverado Custom fuel mileage

Not bad for a 5.3 v8 and a 6 speed automatic in a full size.

Have you done calculations, those lie-o-meters are notorious for being incorrect. If that is in fact correct that's great.

My ram hemi shows 28 but hand calculations are closer to 22.

I’m going to run a full tank and do the calculations. This was a trip from Winston Salem with the speed set at 75mph.

Exactly! I just upgraded from a 08 with the 5.3/ 4l60e combo that never saw above 15-16mpg

If the fuel tank calculations confirm those numbers, that's excellent mileage!

I've managed to get 24 mpg out of my 2016 Nissan frontier with the 4.0, but I'm a pretty laid back driver.

I can get great gas mileage down east where it is flat, if I start off easy, stay below 64 mph. In the western Piedmont and Foothills I can't get nearly as good.

The difference between 18 mpg and 22 mpg over 200k @ $3 per gallon is around $6k.

So it ain’t a ton, but it’s not chump change either.

1/2 tons are great on gas compared to the gas 3/4 tons. My 15 2500 6.0 only managed 10 around town and 12ish on the hwy.

driving from Greensboro to Durham in 2019, set the cruise control at 55, no AC, in a new 2019 Silverado SRT, got the Gas-O-Meter to climb to 33 MPG and stay there

My '13 1500 Chevy with 5.3 & 4WD averages 15-16 mpg empty & 10+/- with a loaded trailer.

I could get better mileage if I babied it, but what's the point of driving a V8 if yer not gonna enjoy it?

ETA- I've also installed a tuner & disabled the AFM.

Paid 37 for the 2020, the past two trucks I’ve owned well past 200k.

That is a good investment to get 200k out of one. I have Honda CRV with 213 k on it now. I have a small truck, 4 cyl., it hauls what stuff I need which is not a lot.

It must be a 2wd I barely touch 17 as a grandpa driver.

Short trip down to Salisbury with the speed set at 77mph. Looks like the gauge was about .6 off the average.
