If you have not been familiar with the Puritans and their heritage of examining closely the relationship of the spirit of God in the heart of man and the components of what comprise living in the presence of God, you are missing some real treats. Do NOT think of them as dour, frowning, legalistic hateful angry religionists. Few writings have moved my heart towards rejoicing in God like reading these folk. This is his tribute to them (coming down thru the Methodists in UK!!!
).
