What are these going for now? Most places I looked at are out of stock.

As recently as a couple months ago, places like Natchez and Powder Valley HAD Nobel Sport 209’s for $65 to $80 … with occasional specials ranging from Free Hysteria-Mat to free shipping

Looks as if we may be in another “lull” portion of the cycle in supply

Whenever I used to get caught low / no supply in these low inventory cycles I used the time to save up and check the usual sites at least weekly, sign up for e-flyers, etc.

When they come back, Buy. In. Bulk.

Get Nobel Sports or Fiocchi if you can, Chedittes as a last resort. I wouldn’t waste my time or hard earned money on Winchesters or Federal’s ( or that you’ll ever see Federal’s or Remingtons actually, in the wild)

The prices for Winchesters or Federal 209’s (essentially 10-cents a primer) are nothing less than usurious and, as anyone who reloads seriously knows; the Nobel Sports and Fiocchi 209’s are EVERY BIT AS GOOD

Thanks. I might be getting some and I don’t use so want to make sure I put a fair price on em.

@73Chall is spot on with his prices. I fear the days of cheap primers is over.

I run em in my smokeless muzzleloader only reason I entertain em and dnt shoot a bunch of em just buy a few here and there
In that case, yeah I would have picked up a couple hundred as well. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen any of the 209s specifically for muzzleloaders. Is that still a thing? I think I have a 100 or so stashed somewhere. Haven’t hunted in the last 6 years. But I plan on starting back this year.

I run a smi barrel on a H&R frame and it uses 209 as well as my Savage ll smokeless been too lazy too get em converted too LMRP but kinda prefer the 209 when it’s cold those small primers are hard too get in and out I’ve never noticed the difference between mine and my buddy’s setup that uses LMRP
