My model 17-6 rimfire was sticking in DA fire; I noticed that the cylinder was not parallel to the frame when open.
Dug out the crane alignment tool and tweaked it into shape; than had trouble getting it to fully depress the cylinder latch upon closing.
Realized the endshake was nonexistent [not usually a bad thing] but need to ream off .002" from the crane to get some clearance so it now reliably locks up and doesn't bind.

Waiting for taller partridge sight blade to arrive, fit that then back to test fire again. With SV ammo was hitting 3" high at 50-75 ft, rear bottomed out. Has the shortest front blade they make so easy fix.

Bought this gun used quote a while ago; might have gotten bumped up in the move but expect I just missed this when I gave it the first checkout. Probably only ever fired it SA and didn't catch this.

Pays to have the tools if you are a revolver nut . . .
