I like shooting .22 semi auto. I am looking at some of the newer models and wondering what the group thinks about .22 semi autos . I have Ruger MK series pistol- but looking for something that holds more than 15 rounds. Also like the idea of something that mimics a larger polymer striker fired pistol instead of a ‘target” style pistol
1. Taurus TX22
2. FN 502
3. SIG 322
4. Kel Tec P17

Use would be some rimfire pistol matches and general plinking - other than the ones above - am i missing a model ?

Kind of the same but different, this is next on my wish list of 22 handguns-

This is a cool pistol - down the road may have to find one
For now I’m sticking with 22lr due to ammo price - I want to shoot whatever i grab a lot.

I know the keltec and Taurus come with lifetime warranties for original owner. Look each one of the ones you mentioned up on YouTube. Will be plenty of video's on each.

I would try and to go to a local indor or outdoor range and rent and shoot some of them before you purchase. Trust me I have made the mistake of buying then not liking something.

Don't forget the ruger Mark 4 or Smith wesson victory. Ruger mark 4 lite are really nice .

I have 2 Taurus tx 22 if you are up in my area some time let me know your welcome to shoot mine.

Good advice on renting.
This discussion is one part of my attempt to avoid buying something I don’t care for

I have Ruger MK 3 lite - great little pistol , the only difference to the MK 4 is the improved takedown/ assembly feature. I have owned Ruger MK series pistols for years and don’t have any difficulty. The issue for me is mag capacity- I want something in that 15+ range so I can use at local pistol matches

I have a Glock 22lr and the Taurus 22lr. As much as I like Glocks it's nowhere near as accurate as the Taurus. Let my daughter us the Taurus for concealed carry class and she did real well (I was surprised).

+1 for the Taurus, I'm a rimfire snob but in a good way. 😄

I voted for the Taurus, but if you're interested in high capacity, I wonder how the Kel Tec CP33 would do. I'm kind if thinking about buying one of those next. Along with the speed loader of course.

I own one, added their +15 magazine extension. Shoots real good, factory equipped with Williams fiber optic sights sights. Edit: CP33

I have a Ruger SR22 with the 4.5" upper and magazine that (a) holds 15 rounds and (b) has last-round bolt-hold-open.
Mine also has an aftermarket threaded barrel.
It can be fired DA or SA; the SA trigger is light and crisp. OK to dry fire.
3 dot sights; rear is elevation and windage adjustable.
Replacement sight options exist.
Plates are available for the rear dovetail to hold a red dot.
Dust cover has a short rail for a light or laser.
