30-06 at 3023yards

Very impressive, that’s just under 3 times the distance of my furthest shot lol.
 
They did the work; that’s a plunging shot with a full value wind at the muzzle, probably several others coming off that hill.

I'll preface with I've never done long range shooting.
Is 2 out of 10 on target a success in long range? I get that 3000 yards is an insane reach but the number of hits was not impressive (to an untrained eye). Just seemed like guess work go left, go right. No different than when I see some people sighting in rifles at 100 yards.

Also for the record, I would have 0 out of 10 on target.

I'm also impressed with the velocity of the 30-06 at that distance. Who says 30-06 is an old Fudd round?
 
That is a hell of a load he developed. Great velocity for a 230 grain. If you throw out the high and low he's got an ES of 6. I might try running some 230's just for poops and giggles. Nice clam shell brake. I might have to check into that rear rest.

I've been down the "rabbit hole" watching his videos. He's done the same with .243 as well.
