First and foremost, I am sorry for the newbie question here but I would rather be safe than sorry.
If I have a S&W AR15 in .556 and I want to go to 300BLK, is all I need to order something like this in this link?
I think I understand to either move my BCG/CH to the 300 or buy new ones but again, just asking to be sure.
Also, anyone dealt with this company or have any other suggestions to a good upper in the less than $500 range.

Link is here also

You are correct just swap the upper and BCG over, you could get another BCG but it's not necessary.

Check PSA they have some stupid cheap uppers on sale every other month it seems.

Oh, one more thing to just be sure.
If I am reading correctly, use the same 5.56 p-mags for the 300 blk , just making sure to mark them with tape or something to tell the difference, correct?

Correct again.

@rantingredneck painted his, and I think I'll be doing the same. Right now I just use 10 or 20 round mags with the blackout to keep them separated.

Just a heads up but a lot of people have feed issues running blackout in a 556 pmag. Magoul has a blackout specific mag but idk what the difference is. I bought translucent smoke lancer mags for my blackout and run my 556 in regular pmags. Helps to keep them separate

I use metal mags from midway in both my blackouts, never had an issue feeding anything. I use pistol length gas and an adjustable gas block correctly set. I would go the psa route, may not be the best in the world but I have one that is highly accurate. not an 1/8 inch difference in 125 than with the stag arms setup.

I presently have 7 ARs. 4 are 5.56, 3 are .300BLK

As @BurnedOutGeek said I have painted my .300 mags camo as those guns are primarily purpose built for deer hunting. I recently built a pistol though and have allocated more mags for .300 for it. I've put a strip of orange duct tape on those for the time being until the weather gets nice enough to rattle can them. I'll likely rattle can the .300 ARs soon too so camo mag goes in camo gun, black mag goes in black gun.

Re: feed issues. I've historically used the curved 20 round PMAGs with no issues. I did have a feed issue with a 30 round PMAG recently but it seemed confined to that particular mag. Others ran fine. I have since acquired some .300BLK specific 30s.... Haven't had a chance to test them yet to see if there is a big difference.

I built all my 5.56 ARs with black furniture and use black mags. I built my two 300BLK ARs with FDE furniture and use FDE mags.

I've never had an issue running 300BLK in standard 5.56 PMags...it's the same brass so they seem to fit/function just fine.

The Lancer 20-round mags work great, don't break the bank & look fairly trick to boot. I've got some 30rd "GI" mags with anti-tilt followers, but haven't used them yet.

You only need to worry about mags if you are shooting 220 grain and heavier subs. The supers fit fine in just about any .556 mag.

I like using Lancers for the big subs, never had a problem.

Since there seems to be a few blackout shooters in here, any recommendations on cheap plinking bullets that can be loaded as subs? Read on a fb page that a few dudes use 150 gr seconds. I'm just trying to avoid buying smk's for paper punching under 100 yds..

Walmart is carrying an OTM 220 grain sub load now from Remington for 15.xx/20 too. Not real cheap but if you just want to grab a couple boxes of subs to plink with it's not a bad option.
