308 Plinker Loads

Ive got a bunch of processed LC brass and 168 SMKs. Any of y’all have any go to loads? Not looking for match grade precision, just wanting to bag some mid range steel. I’ve got Varget, RL 15, H4895, 8208, and TAC. Thanks.

I normally shoot 44-45 of Varget with 165-68 bullets but out of Winchester brass.

You should be fine with minimal load development to accomplish that with varget and blem factory second cheap 168gn projectiles.

44+gr of Varget or RE15 would be a charge I’m trying to make the most out of, so to speak. I run 43.0gr of RE15 with 168s in mine as a <600yd load that still hits steel with authority

168gr Match King or Nosler CC
CCI 200
2.805 OAL

Update. 43 grains of Varget under a 168 SMK in LC brass lit by a BR4 primer is working well. 5 shot groups hovering right around an inch. Guesstimated MV to be around 2600 out of a 22” Tikka. Velocity confirmed on steel at 500.
I’ve got a bunch of TAC that I’ve been shooting out of my .223s. Im hoping to find an accurate load with it since it meters so well out of my Dillon. Be nice to be able to crank out some accurate 308 loads on the progressive.
