Bought a MFRB of range pickup, and most of it was either GECO or GFL. Neither looks bad, although the GECO is all crimped which is why I ended up sorting the stuff by headstamp. Anyone have experience with these headstamps? Good or bad?

BTW, there were 16 different head stamps.

update: a bit of Google while waiting for coffee teaches me that GFL is Fiocci and GECO is actually an ammo company, who knew. Both seem to be well regarded so I'll be swaging primer pockets next weekened.

Geco is Junk, imo.
If the pocket of a 357 brass is crimped, that's your first clue to scrap it. Even Sascha Back, (geco sponsored shooter) does not shoot Geco in matches!
the Fiocchi stuff is usually ok.
Stick with domestic brass if possible.

I've seen a few pieces GFL 357 Mag brass in batches I've purchased. Used it no problem. Never seen any GECO.

GFL is Fiocchi's headstamp: Guilio Fiocchi Lecco. Italian brand, Quality ammo

Geco manufactured the safety slug line. The 357 safety slug was issued to some special operations units along with the 9mm and 45acp versions. All had the pockets stacked.

In GFL never had a problem in 357. Nearly every primer hole is off center in 44. Only problem is it blows out from underneath to the opposite side of the offset from time to time.
