4 or 5 bore rifle

“According to reporting in the Colorado Gazette, the weapon has a theoretical fire rate of 250 rounds per second, over twice what an M134 minigun can fire. And, each round flies at 2,500 mph, or 3,667 feet per second.”

I wonder what “theoretical” means in this context.

Since the blocks are actually the magazine and the chamber, alignment with the barrel is going to be critical for function and accuracy, not sure I see how it can both be very precise and withstand field use.

Fan of the innovation though.

Damn, another major piece of reloading equipment to charge the "caseless" ammunition blocks. And at that potential rate of fire, it will have to be powered, progressive too.

I am getting too old for this crap.

This seems to be that “meta storm” technology.
I knew I should have bought stock in that crap when he was looking for investors.

Not the same tech. Meta/metal storm is about stacking caseless ammo and using electronics to fire the front round, this is about designing a case that holds 4 or 5 rounds and moves the chamber to the case rather than the barrel.

I have decided that in this context “theoretical” means how fast can it get off the 4 or 5 rounds in the loaded block.
