5.7 suppressor recommendations.

Looking to purchase a suppressor for a ruger 57. The Dead Air Mask seems to be the front runner so far. If you have experience with suppressing a 5.7 please give your recommendations.

The mask is a great can as is the SiCo spectre 2. I don’t think you’ll go wrong with either.

5.7-rated rimfire cans are fairly disappointing. The larger volume GSL would probably be where I’d lean if I needed one for a pistol.

I have a YHM Turbo K on my PS90 SBR, and a Form 1 can on my AR-57. I think the F1 can is 5.5x1.25 (I know it’s 1.25” OD…and the form says 5.5”, but I can’t remember exactly what it ended up being 🙄).

I shoot 17 hmr suppressed quite a bit. 5.7 is going to be trickier. More suppressor volume will be helpful. I’d go with a Rugged oculus or griffin Optimus micro. The latter can handle 5.56. the DA mask is also a solid choice. Overall for a 5.7 pistol I wouldn’t expect it to ever be hearing safe.
