I have been working with a supplier on getting some 50 cal bottle openers made. Some will be powder coated, some will be brass with a clear powder coat to protect from tarnish. The powder coated ones would have the your text/logo laser etched into the powder exposing the brass color. The brass ones would be laser etched and the text would be black.

Is there any interest in these before I get too deep into this process?

Pricing would be in the $15-18 range for laser etched, plain with no logo or text would be $12-13 plus shipping (not sure how to ship yet but it would be realistic)

I can't start making these until sometime after the holidays.

I thought they were neat...and then one showed up in a package for me (secret santa, guy knew I liked guns) and I never used it. Got a 308 version too.
I put that I would pass as even with a free one I dont have a use.

But I bet they'd sell well, try it out brother!

Thats the feedback I am looking for!!! What is the reason you don't use it? Does it work? Flimsy? I want to know before I order a crap load of these LOL

My guess is that since we live in an age where bottle openers aren’t needed very often, there is much desire to have one.

What kinda beer you drink? I need one for almost everything i drink.

I use a piston shaped anniversary bottle opener from jasper engines almost every day.

What would make this one even cooler is a loop on the end to attach to a dog collar. Used to keep a bottle opener on my labs collar all the time.

I dont need it often, and when I do I have other, less obtrusive openers available - ones that take up far less room in a drawer etc.

Not flimsy, not crappy, just not for me.

I think that if you'd had come out with these a month ago they'd sell like hotcakes for Christmas. And they likely still will.
I just wanted to provide a reason I posted what I did. My need is not strong and I have other openers already.
Maybe I should move it to the garage and put it atop of the gun safe or something

I too have one. A gift from the company I work for. I don’t use it. Its a little bulky. It’s neat to have. I have used the Jasper one fairly often. It’s smaller and lighter. I think the fiddy cal openers are more of a novelty/display piece. If I didn’t have one already, I would get one if it was priced right. For just that. Novelty.

The kind that comes in a whiskey bottle :) seriously, I thought everything was twist cap now.

Since expanding my beer choices and trying new ones that aren't typical American swill, I'm noticing most need an opener.

Concerning the OP's question, I wouldn't buy one for myself unless I bought another car. I keep one in every vehicle. The one inside the house has a magnet, so it's stuck to the side of the fridge.
