500mph golf ball

Impressive.
Now, if I can only get 1/5 of that ball speed with my driver I might start making more greens in regulation :mad:
 
Saw this the other day too. Love his videos, entertaining and educational.

I do wish they would’ve put a tracker on a golf ball and launched it at 500mph just to see how far it’d go.
 
Hmm... that puts a different perspective on conformal faced clubs.
 
Pretty cool in a controled enviroment with camera but can tell you when you hit one in a hay field with a disc mower that has extremely fast rotating blades that run very close to the ground and it launches one out from under the protective cover by your head its a eye opening experience. First one dad hit years ago bounced off open station tractor roll bar behind his head and decided brother and myself shouldn’t hit them in the hay field any more. We all have hit others mowing since and cringe everytime if I know there is a chance of other golf balls in the field and amazed at how fast and far they can fly even when brushed by a the heavy canvas cover and thick grass. Think standing 10ft in front of tiger woods with a driver except you do not know which direction its going.

He did an earlier one when they unveiled the cannon. Maybe more than one, can’t remember.
