I bought an early Henry 22 and asked Henry Customer Service when it was made... they told me 4/7/97, which makes it the 5th week of production after the modern Henry company started making rifles. Then I found that the trigger allowed the hammer to fall from half-kokk. Henry Customer Service said it is still under warranty, so please send it to them.
Today, just 9 days later, I got the rifle back. They replaced the hammer & trigger, adjusted the action and test fired the rifle. They also shined up the wood, replaced the missing front sight hood and put it in a new box with the correct serial number, hang tags and manual, as though it were a new rifle!
Needless to say, I am impressed!
