I am going to be listing an Argentine 1909 Mauser in our BST this week. I have not shot this rifle, but have been doing some research on it. Wiki states that it's caliber is 7.65x53. But some forums say you can shoot 7.65x54 in it while others say it makes closing the bolt difficult. Before I try a round, looking for you guys to chime in. Thanks

Just call it 7.65 Argentine. I've read all kinds of things about what constitutes 53 versus 54. Not sure there is that much of a difference. Chances are your 1909 will chamber both.

...... my boss ordered a few boxes of ammo, 7.65 Argentinian, because someone wanted it.... they never did come back.

Im waiting for someone to walk in and ask for it so I can suprise them :)

My brother got one back in the 90s when they were $60. The thing was a tack driver.
