I got this used several years ago. It functions and shoots very well. Manufacturing date is June '77 so just about46 years old. Barrel and wood are in pretty good shape but the receiver is all patina an lost its luster. I tried to sell it at the last Dixie gun show in Raleigh but no takers.
So I figured time for a makeover. Spent several hours yesterday and today removing all the finish, pits and scratches. Got it down to a 400 grit finish today so ++tomorrow will work on the pins, trigger action rod. The trigger guard is aluminum so that will get cerakoted. With some luck , I may get it in the blueing tanks this week.20230402_133358.jpg20230402_133444.jpg20230402_133511.jpg20230402_133545.jpg20230402_133631.jpg

I finished up the polishing yesterday and went for a swim in the Blueing Lagoon Tank. I'm pretty happy with the result. Trigger guard is aluminum so that got Cerakote. The trigger turned out spotted so either reblue or Cerakote. That's why trigger group not installed. No school next week, so I'll post a few more pix when trigger group installed.Turn around time 5 days rather than 7 months as mentioned in another thread. Plus I didn't have to leave a deposit. 20230406_124214.jpg20230406_124151.jpg20230406_125053.jpg

Nice, do you do hot blueing commercially?

No commercial business. I got a degree in Gunsmithing for somting to do just shy of 25 yrs ago . Looking at @NiceOldDouble threads and his artwork inspired me to enroll in the local community college gunsmithing program. Much like myself , my guns are getting more milage and need a little work.
