BF3F0218-1310-4C53-B9AA-5B970B4804F9.jpeg I originally got cold feet and pulled this quick previously but circumstances have unfortunately changed....

First off, I have owned this Jeep since 1997 (22+ years) and it’s been meticulously maintained.

1997 Jeep Wrangler Sport - 4.0L inline six with 5 Speed manual
    TJ - Coil spring suspension
    Dual Front Airbags
I have owned the Jeep for approximately 22 years (Purchased from Jeep dealership in 1997)!
    VERY reliable and well maintained
Never abused or off road (My off road time consist of trout fishing/hunting on a few rare occasions)
    Black with tan cloth interior
    Factory fog lights
    FULL doors
    157k miles
    Very Cold AC
    Everything works great
Oil changes every 1,500 miles - yes, I'm a little OCD I guess. (Havoline for the first 100k then Switched to Quaker State high mileage after 100k (it has NEVER used any oil)
Only Mopar or Mobile One oil filters used
All differential, transmission and transfer case fluids changed every 15k miles
Mobile One full synthetic used in differentials
    Redline synthetic in transfer case
Royal Purple synthetic used for steering box
    Redline MTL in transmission

    Options:

    1. Factory Jeep Hard Top in good condition
    2. Best Top Sail Cloth soft top (very heavy and quiet fabric - as quiet as hard top) - it's basically new
    3. 3" BDS Suspension lift
    4. Skyjacker hydro shocks and steering stabilizer (only 3k miles on these)
    5. Fully adjustable Rusty's off road front AND rear sway bars
    6. Tereflex Quick disconnect sway bar links
    7. Fully adjustable Rough Country Control Arms (very heavy duty)
    8. Rough Country Transfer case drop
    9. Flowmaster 40 Series exhaust
    10. Dynamax High Flow SS Catalytic Converter
    11. 33 x 12.50 Goodyear hybrid MT/AT Duratrac tires (with only approximately 10k miles on them)
    12. Spider Trax HD wheel spacers all around
    13. Alpine CD player with bluetooth and IPod hook up
    14. Cerwin Vega speakers in speaker bar
    15. Husky floor liners/ mats
    16. Roll bar handles
    17. Class IV trailer hitch with wiring
    18. 4.10 Dana Spicer Gears (installed by a gear shop about 10 years ago to get the right ratio/power for the 33" & 32" tires)

I am sure I may have missed a few things but this is a pretty good summary of what it has. There are no words to describe the time I have put in my Jeep and I never intended to even consider getting rid of it. However, with kids and large dogs I have been limited to when I can actually use it. I love Jeeps and mine has been the most reliable and lost cost vehicle I could ever imagine. I am not a fan of the newer 4door Jeeps since they no longer use the wonderful 4.0 Inline Six! Otherwise I would just purchase a newer one. The only negative I could say about my TJ is the clear coat around front fender and on the hood area has finally started to come off. It would be a cheap fix to paint that section if you should desire to do so. The normal scratches and minor marks for a 97 model otherwise.
You can buy it two ways. With factory Jeep hardtop AND sailcloth soft top $8500 FIRM or with just the soft top for $7500 FIRM. Please research pricing all around and you will see it is an excellent price. If you want to look at KBB and think that's relative to market values of Jeeps than please pass on this one. I'm not a dealer and I have the clean title for it obviously. I doubt you will likely find one maintained for 22+ years by the same owner. No issues with it whatsoever!

It has NEVER been in any accident of any kind and NEVER smoked in! Will not sell hardtop separately unless buyer turns it down with the package. I will get more pictures up, Hardtop is currently installed for the winter.

Imma Jeep kinda fella. That's a Jeep that is hard to find. That is to say, one absolutely maintained from day one by the same owner. Ya'll will never be This lucky again.
Remember BO mantra...it's just dirty paper 'til you turn it into something useful.

I purchased this Jeep from Empire Jeep in North Wilkesboro in 1997 but I was actually the second owner for full disclosure. The original owner had it for 6 months and then traded it for a larger Grand Cherokee I believe. All from Empire Jeep. Didnt want to mislead anyone but for all commen sense purposes it’s been a 1 owner -:) I have babied it for sure, should be obvious considering it still has the original clutch. It’s not pristine perfect or showroom but it’s darn nice for it’s age! The only thing that’s failed on it was a dead battery one time. Around 2015 I replaced the radiator, NOT because it was required but I wanted to flush it and install new hoses, everything was already off so why not. Went ahead and did it and the thermostat for preventative maintenance. Also had the Jeep dealer replace the fuel pump around 2010 I think. I noticed on two mornings it didn’t prime well so just went ahead with it. Yes, I am that person that listens for the pump to prime before turning the key. Maybe it’s OCD or just having diesels in the past....not sure -:). I would the brakes on the rear probably have the most miles on them at around 60k or so. I did the front’s about 20k ago I believe. Never had to recharge the AC either. I’ve done a ton of mods to it but I just can’t remember everything anymore. It cost’s basically nothing to maintain other than fluids and insurance/taxes.

If you have any questions just ask. I enjoy talking about it and have spent a great deal of time enjoying all the weekend wrenching on it. Anything I’ve tightened has been done to spec with a torque wrench and there are no cheap replacement parts on it anywhere. It’s taken care of me and therefore I have gladly returned the favor. Believe me I truly don’t want to sell it but I can’t get the family to ride in it anymore unless it’s topless and for a short ride. Too many iPad’s, whining for heated leather seats, we can’t carry enough in it, the dogs can’t ride blah, blah, blah anymore. So I hope someone else can enjoy it more as it should be or have kids that are obsessed with Jeeps to enjoy it as a family. My Daughter wants it when she gets her license but that ain’t happening! I told her she was getting an old Volvo 240.

"Never been offroad" could never be said in any ad for Jeep Wranglers I have owned.

I would entertain up to 1k in QUALITY firearm trades if it helps folks. It would have to be on the whole package deal and minimum of $7500 cash plus a very entertaining trade.
