I'm looking for options/opinions on what you guys think the "most accurate" powder you have used for 9mm. I've had pretty good results using CFE pistol with 124 HAP bullets. I'm considering switching to Precision Delta 124 HP. The distance i'll be shooting is out to 50yards.

I’ve had good performance with Titegroup with 124gr pills and 115’s. Win231 seems to be more consistent with 147’s. Have not tried any subsonic rounds with either powder yet.

Accuracy, Power Pistol, forget the load but it was significantly better than anything else, pretty sure it was a light charge for PP.

What’s your setup? Are you running a comp? What weight bullets?

Autocomp, by far for me. However, it's my understanding that CFE Pistol is Autocomp with the fouling component added. Dunno, but nothing has touched Autocomp for me.

This^^^.

But...I'll go with BE86. BE86 is power pistol with a flash suppressant.
Yep. I like BE86 for 9mm (and it works very well in many other calibers).

The most accurate load I found for my 9mm AR carbine, though, was Power Pistol. I never got around to trying BE86 in that one, I had such good results that I quit trying anything else.

There are a lot of powders that work well in 9mm. If you want lower recoil loads, pick something from the faster burning end of the burn rate chart (like AA#2 or Titegroup) if you want full throttle loads, pick something slower, like AA#7.

Hp-38/Win231 first, Titegroup second.
Ive noticed my manuals seem to lack loads for 231 in 9mm, not sure why.

Any pet loads using 231 w/ 124 lead you'd like to share?

4.30 grains of HP-38/Win231,124 grain Berry 124 grain, plated RN, or Precision Delta 124 grain FMJ. OAL of 1.150, crimp at .377-.378.
3.90 grains of Titegroup,124 grain Berry 124 grain, plated RN, or Precision Delta 124 grain FMJ. OAL of 1.150, crimp at .377-.378.

Works great for me, in Glock pistols.

As you can see,, many options AND opinions.

Why?

Because each & every gun is a different machine unto itself. It takes a bit of handloading experimentation to find exactly what bullet, powder, primer YOUR gun likes. And your load may sux in my gun.
No shortcuts in finding the best load for any firearm. You have to experiment.

I actually enjoy "experimenting" with projectile, powders and primers but in todays top $$$ market and the abundance of reloading components on the shelves i'm trying to narrow down the field.

Seems like Power Pistol is getting a lot of votes. I may try and track down a pound. Thanks for the reply everyone.

Another two powders to consider that should be available are Ramshot Silohette and True Blue. I use True Blue for full power 9mm loads and have found it to be quite accurate.

When the last big shortage happened about 9 years ago, I had just started reloading. When I could find a powder available, I would pick up a pound (usually at a gun show). As a result, I’ve tried over 30 different pistol powders in various calibers. There are a few I have used up and won’t buy any more, and there are a few I have decided to always keep a stock of. But, I have all my data saved, and I know what I can use in a pinch.

I like BE-86, it's incredibly versatile. I've loaded a bunch of calibers from 380acp through 44 special. However, I've been using SR-7625 (discontinued) for years with 9mm and still have around 8lbs. When it's gone, I'll probably make the switch to BE-86.

I don't see any love for Ramshot Zip? I've been using it successfully for 10+ years. Meters well and use it in all my auto loaders. 380, 9, 40, and 45.

Another vote for titegroup. Love how long it lasts but I find myself remeasuring if I lose concentration and there is a possibility of a double charge.
