Here is the money quote...

"We, as defenders of freedom and lovers of liberty, can no longer afford to hang back and lend our support only to the cream of the solid, pro-rights candidates. At this point, the Democratic Party has taken that luxury away from us. Now our only option is to work for their defeat, regardless of the individual stands of their candidates or their opponents. Right now, it’s all about majorities – in Congress, in state legislatures, and on county boards and city councils. Even in states with low crime, and strong traditions of firearm freedom, like Maine and Vermont, Democrat majorities are pushing agendas of draconian gun control, simply because they can, and because Bloomberg and the Giffords’ group keep dumping millions into local elections, in support of radical Democrat, rights restrictors."
(emphasis added)
Doesn't matter what stance someone individually takes; if they caucus with Nancy Pelosi et al, they increase their power and influence, so must be defeated.

The Democrats have given their party fully over to a “progressive” philosophy of total government control and citizen subservience, with a government monopoly on arms being one of their primary goals. Until saner heads regain control of that party, it is critical that they are defeated.

These assaults on our rights must be answered with votes. Gun owners can’t rely on the NRA to do it for us. We never could, but it’s more true and urgent now than ever before.
Too many times our guys got mad at Republicans for failing to deliver on promises, or for foolishly making concessions to the rights opponents, and stomped off in a huff, refusing to vote, or voting for third-party candidates with zero chance of winning. That’s how we got eight years of Barack Obama, and most recently, it’s how we lost the House of Representatives in 2018.

Jesus.

Here we go again...playing the “our guy is better than their guy” game, based solely on a letter that follows a name.

News flash:

BOTH PARTIES HAVE THE SAME END GAME. They both want absolute authority.

Look here....when Trump was campaigning, he stated on several occasions, “The Second Amendment will be safe during my administration.”

They’ve already got bump stocks. Now, they’re going after suppressors and have made no bones about the fact they are willing to violate due process and forcefully disarm a citizen who has committed no crime...REPUBLICANS DID / ARE DOING THAT!!!!

McCain: anti-gun, but we “had no choice” other than to vote for him.

Romney: rabidly anti-gun, but again, we “had no choice”.

When, in God’s name, is this insanity going to end? When are folks going to stop being the all-day suckers and realize the Republican party has just as much disdain for your liberty as the other side?

Think they’re “honest”, just because they’re “Republicans”?

“Elect us, give us the majority and we’ll repeal Obamacare.”

We did...we handed them control of the oval office, the Senate and the House. Great..now, repeal it.

“Well...the timing isn’t right”, said Eddie Munster (Paul Ryan).

Hearing Protection Act...could’ve had suppressors removed from the NFA. Once again, the timing wasn’t right.

How many times must folks get the hell beat out of them before they refuse to take “him” back?

Tell ya what, folks...you do whatever the hell you wish that best makes you happy. If that means voting “R” just because they’re a Republican, go right ahead and see what that gets you...see if it’ll be different “this” time or “next” time.

Me? I’m done and have been for quite some time. I’m through voting for the same scum that turns right around and screws us after the election is over. I’m not falling for the “scare tactic” of, “Well...you better vote Republican if you wanna keep your guns!”

Hogwash. It ain’t anyone’s right to take, whether they are “R” or “D”...it’s mine. I was born with it and I’ll be damned if I’ll sit back and let someone else be the arbiter of whether I have it or not.

Make YOUR choice...

It is up to US and only US. If you are waiting for a “savior of liberty” to descend upon DC, I’m afraid you are setting yourself up for a huge disappointment.

Shane - love the post.
Every year we hear how it's 'too important this time' etc
Or recently we had a member who urged folks to CONTINUE voting for a Republican who was caught manipulating votes because 'well at least he's not a Democrat' or something.
Youre right, people are getting hung up on a dang LETTER beside of a name.

Yeah, #VoteHarder has been a losing strategy no matter how you pull the lever. If you vote (D), you're a DA. If you vote (R), you're a DA. If you vote (L), you're a DA. If you vote (I), you're a DA ... and so on ad nauseum.

Trouble is, if you don't vote, then you end up the unwilling victim of laws passed by DAs who were elected by DAs. The only way around the endess stream of DA laws is to end-run them, whether via a path they haven't closed yet or via outlawry.

I hate to say it, but this is the main thing that makes me glad I'm older. I'd purely hate to be 17 today.

There's coming a time, in the very near future, choose good or evil. I've been saying it for a long time now, long before ever coming across this awsome forum, of good men, who are just trying to hammer out a decent and honest life. Today, in America, everything is backwards. Right is wrong, good is evil, men can be women, or visa versa. What I see happening today is so disgusting to me, so sickening, I struggle daily with accepting what some would say "is the norms" of our day. I refuse give up on people, but some make it blatantly impossible. One day, and I believe it's not gonna be very far off, all of you may find yourselves in a very precarious situation, of making the decision of, just accepting it, or becoming an outlaw. Me...if choosing to follow in the Founders of this Great republics' footsteps makes me an outlaw, so be it. You are Free, I am Free, We The People are the apex sovereign in this Republic, it is our duty, it is our obligation to stand against all who seek to tear our Constitution, and Bill of Rights apart. I look for answers, I look for truth, I look for honesty, and integrity daily...the sad thing is, everyone is wrapped up in the latest political scandal, the latest arbitrary law, or what ever else comes out of Washington's District of Criminals mouth, you can't even break through the programming of some. I've said it before and I'll say it again...THIS, is a war for your mind, a war for your soul. It's time to start thinking tactically! Tacticalcivics.com is the only full spectrum solution I've seen offered to date, with a full spectrum plan to restore our Republic.

Well pardon me for wanting to postpone this inevitable civil war... I don’t want to have to recreate this scene with my own beloved daughter.

I am under no illusion that civil war will be beautiful, or glorious, or without good guy casualties. Every war from history, no matter how justified or needed, was a happy affair.

And what will emerge on the other side of it is not going to be a massive 1776 reboot.
Picture it as more of the remake of “Exodus” with Christian Bale. That’s how horrid it will be, if not worse. :(

I agree. How much longer do you think "good people" will stand by and watch?
That scene still makes me tear up.
They don't even make movies like that anymore.

And the alternative is like watching a burglar pilfer your stuff while saying, “if you don’t try to stop me, I won’t hurt you, just take your stuff”. It’s not an acceptable alternative.

"The individual may stand upon his Constitutional Rights as a Citizen. He is entitled to carry on his private business in his own way. His power to contract is unlimited. He owes no duty to the State or to his neighbors to divulge his business, or to open his doors to investigation, so far as it may tend to incriminate him. He owes no such duty to the State, since he receives nothing therefrom, beyond the protection of his life, liberty, and property. His Rights are such as the law of the land long antecedent to the organization of the state, and can only be taken from him by due process of law, and in accordance with the Constitution. Among his Rights are the refusal to incriminate himself, and the immunity of himself and his property from arrest or seizure except under warrant of law. He owes nothing to the public so long as he does not trespass upon their rights."

I feel you, man. But something to think about, in this exact situation:

"I once felt all that kind of anger, which a man ought to feel, against the mean principles that are held by the Tories: a noted one, who kept a tavern at Amboy, was standing at his door, with as pretty a child in his hand, about eight or nine years old, as I ever saw, and after speaking his mind as freely as he thought was prudent, finished with this unfatherly expression, "Well! give me peace in my day." Not a man lives on the continent but fully believes that a separation must some time or other finally take place, and a generous parent should have said, "If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace;" and this single reflection, well applied, is sufficient to awaken every man to duty." ~Thomas Paine, The Crisis, 1776

Now, I am not saying don't do everything within your power to change things peaceably, to do the right thing, the civil and nonviolent thing. It's vitally important to continue to participate civically so that when you are compelled to explain yourself, to lay out the long train of abuses that propel our Republic into a more dynamic time in its history, you can make the moral case for the bloodletting that has been thrust upon you.

Only a fool wants it. But likewise, only a fool, having eyes and seeing not, or ears and hearing not, doesn't prepare himself physically, mentally, and spiritually for the storm that's coming.

You believe that keeping a known fraudulent politician in office is what's holding off this 'inevitable civil war?'
Like, you think that one jackass is what's keeping this whole thing together, or is it you think if a D gets in then the whole system falls?
Either way: lol.

This train has been barreling towards that “Warning, bridge out” sign for a while and changing conductors from R to D and vice versa hasn’t slowed it. It’s just when it’s a drooling GOP’per all the closet republicans chests swell with pride and they think they’ve done their duty to country and jesus to set things straight.

Regarding D vs R, and both wanting the same thing...

In 2016, before the election, Dennis Prager said we had two choices. Door No. 1 was labeled "Man Eating Lion" and Door No. 2 was labeled "Maybe Man Eating Lion." You have to pick Door No. 2. Then we go from there.

Anyway, why do we think elections are going to solve our problems? The political process is more Entertainment than it is Battleground.

Dunno. I think if I was assured there was a man behind a door and he was eating a lion, I might pick that one. :D

Elections are held to maintain the illusion of choice and of the people having a hand in government.

It also provides the lifeblood of pageantry, ceremony, and religious theatre that keeps people looking to the State as God.
