Sold one of these to my buddy @Suwand28 , and brought it home so he could have a conjugal visit with it tonight. Between him and I, we put 50 rounds through it.

We compared it to my Dead Air Nomad L on a 9" 300blk AR. The Lahar L was on his 8" 300blk AR. Both using the same, subsonic, ammo.

From the shooters perspective, they sound identical.

From a bystanders perspective, I was blown away at how well the Lahar L did. I already own the standard Lahar, and thought I knew what to expect out of the L. I expected the L to perform better than the standard Lahar, and fall short of the Nomad L. The Lahar L is ~3/4” shorter, and ~.15" narrower than the Nomad L...how could it perform as good as the NL?

Man was I wrong. Both Suwand and myself thought the Lahar was quieter as a bystander. The Lahar L is an outstanding performer on 300blk.

It is not without it's faults however. Despite being shorter and narrower than the Nomad, it's 3oz heavier (didn't weigh them...going off of Silencershop specs). It also has noticably more gas to the face than the NL.

If I had the opportunity to un-buy the Nomad L, and get the Lahar L, I'd probably save the $200 and get the Lahar L.

This is by no means a HARD use test on this can...but I've got some decent experience with my standard Lahar, and actively try to kill it every time I shoot it. It lives on a 12.5" 308, and has also been ran hard on a 10.5" 5.56...and seen some light use on 300blk subs and supers. It refuses to die. Even the cerakote is hanging in fairly well.

Does Aero make their suppressors in house?

Already one step ahead of dead air! I was wondering how their suppressors would stack up to others on the market. Looks like they may be on to something. 🤙
