It's become a sad game of risk aversion. There's no art in Hollywood anymore. It's big business. Known quantities are a safer bet than something new that folks may or may not like. Millions per movie and swamped with competition in the market... Play the numbers... It's a victim of it's own success...
 
I enjoyed Freakshow and Roanoke..... the other seasons I didn't find very interesting.

Really?

Murder House was awesome, as was Coven (my favorite). Asylum was okay & I loved Hotel, just to get to ogle Lady Gaga damned near nekkid. Just couldn't get into Freakshow, Roanoke, or Apocalypse.

I'ma give 1984 a chance just for the 'flashback', since I was 14 y/o then.

To be fair...... the first season I watched was Freakshow, maybe i need to check out the older seasons.

I'm about half way through Coven..... good call.
 
I'm not feeling 1984. The nostalgia thing is cute, but I couldn't get through the 1st episode. Gonna take more than a Friday the 13th remake to keep my interest.

The Mayans on FX is turning out to be pretty decent.
 
I didnt think I was gonna like 1984 at first, but the plot id FINALLY getting deeper than the hacker/slasher movie thing. I liked Coven, Apocolypse, and FReak show.... I wanted to like Roanoake, but Imissed a few of them and couldnt grasp the entire vibe. These shows....if you miss one, you are pretty much screwed if you are trying to follow a story line.
