I like running Aimpoint micros but don’t really see myself dialing elevation with one. I’ve been eyeballing a m5 for a bit but wish they’d have changed the reticle instead of adding windage and elevation turrets. Out to 300 holding for elevation seems more reasonable to me and any further than that I’ll need magnification. I can get an awesome lpvo for the price of this micro and a magnifier.

$1100???!!! I couldn’t justify a $450 micro, no way in heck I’m even considering this thing.
Maybe this is a gov contract only thing so they can get $600 for it no problem.

Aimpoint makes some good stuff, but I feel like this item is confused by what it's trying to be. If I'm going to have engagements from 100-600, I'm going for a DMR rather than a red dot. My largest concern is that even with a magnifier, you're only going to get but so much out of that dot, as it's going to cover a fairly large area.
