I like.
I believe the price point.Other than a 2mm dot, what differentiates it from the T-2?
I believe the price point.
Seems like PRO:COMP::RDS:T2.
Yep, about $300 of differentiation...I'm not sure what that translates to in regards to quality.Other than a 2mm dot, what differentiates it from the T-2?
If it's typical Aimpoint, I'm guessing the new sight would only survive a conventional explosion as opposed to a nuclear one.Yep, about $300 of differentiation...I'm not sure what that translates to in regards to quality.

push button operation too, though I like a knob personallyOther than a 2mm dot, what differentiates it from the T-2?
Have not. What is it, 10%? Seems to be the going rate. I usually don't mess with the discounts, I tend to find deals better than the discounted rate most times.Has anyone priced these with the LE/First Responder/Veteran discount form Aimpoint? Looks interesting, would sure prefer something that size/weight over a Pro on an AR pistol.
Everywhere I see has them for $499, they're currently available. So ya, hoping to see $400-450ish on the reg.MSRP of $499, so that means hopefully we will regularly see them for $399 once they are in heavy distribution. I honestly think its Aimpoint's competition for the MRO.
Will use micro T1/T2 mounts too, but is SLIGHTLY different as to how it will cowitness with those mounts. @Flipside1212 sent me a good video from TRex Arms showing the height comparison using the favorite micro mounts.
The Duty RDS is hard to beat. It isn’t quite as clear as a T2 but it is WAY better than the PRO. The dot it’s self is what impresses me. It is clear even with astigmatisms. Most red dots look like a cluster of rapes to me but this one is one small dot with a little bit of starburst around it.

That's really good to hear. I've got an astigmatism as well and have the same issue. It's not a huge problem at CQB distances but it's very difficult to be precise with shots past that without my glasses. I really have to spend a lot of time working with that dot to know where the shots will end up...obviously the issue goes away with my glasses but I can't always guarantee I will have them, so I try to practice without them as well. The Duty RDS is hard to beat. Is the RDS even clearer than any prisms you've used?

LE only and it's the same price?Probably be cheaper to go through DSG out of Texas…they offer a MIL/FR discount and they don’t charge tax, at least, they haven’t on anything I’ve ordered from them.
I have a DSG account. It’s $479 with the discount.I submitted my request for the DSG discount pricing. I'm assuming it's 10%. I'll see how long I can hold off. I'd rather have a used one for $400 than pay $450+ s/t.

Ya I just had it added to mine. That's not impressive, but it doesn't look like they charge tax. I went as far as the finalization screen and it wasn't ever added.I have a DSG account. It’s $479 with the discount.
Aimpoint ACRO would be pretty sweet on an AK too. After doing some research, I really think this would sit too high on my M92. I've currently got a PA MD-20 mounted on an ADM low QD mount on my dustcover rail, and that's just barely low enough. Doesn't even offer lower 1/3 on the Ultimak radiator.
I ended up putting a WTB ad up for an H1/T1.

It's definitely an option I've considered. Not sure how I'd like the 3.25moa dot. Could be a non issue.Aimpoint ACRO would be pretty sweet on an AK too.
Had a RMR on an AR for a bit. It was ok, but I like a larger window a bit better. figured the acro might be able to get you real low to the rail on that AKIt's definitely an option I've considered. Not sure how I'd like the 3.25moa dot. Could be a non issue.
The ACRO is about $100 less than a new T2, but I would consider it less versatile if I didn't care for it on the AK. At least with the T2 I can just throw it on a lower 1/3 mount and put it on an AR.
I've never tried a reflex on a carbine. Do you like them?

It's a sexy looking optic, but I'm hesitant, also due to the window size. This MD-20 is prob as small as I'd like to go. Wish I had a spare 507c or something to try out.Had a RMR on an AR for a bit.
