Okay so I made some air fryer chicken wings today that were to Awesome.

ingredients:
Frozen Chicken wings
Franks Buffalo hot sauce
Dark brown sugar
Butter(any make)
Cooking spray Butter Flavor is what I had olive oil is healthier.

Line the cooking tray with the frozen wings set air fryer to cook at 390 degrees for 40 minutes. After first ten minutes open air fryer and lightly spray with cooking spray. Let cook for another 10 minutes flip chicken wings and lightly spray other side.
In a bowel put about 1/2 a cup Franks Buffalo sauce with about 1 table spoon of dark brown sugar then add about a tablespoon of Butter. Whisk it together a butter will not mix in completely which is ok.
With 10ish minutes left take the wings out put in bowl and stir covering with sauce. Cut the heat on air fryer to 270 degrees put wings back in for 7-10 minutes can really take out once the sauce dries to at least a good tacky consistency. Take out of fryer and re-sauce.
Now enjoy. I'm telling you they were the best dang wings I've ever had.

Thank you for sharing. We got an air fryer from Santa and were wondering what to do with it.

I've not done wings in our air fryer yet but now I'm gonna have to try it.

I typically use a vortex on a charcoal grill, which basically turns the grill into an air fryer.

I typically dry rub mine with Gamm's Seasoning "Cee Cee's Dry Rub" then sauce over top of that. Or not. CeeCee's dry rub is awesome all on it's own.

Sorry, but I'm not eating anything that came out of a bowel.

I am limited for counter space so I don't keep a lot of appliances out. Toaster, coffee pot and microwave have to be there but a place of honor has been given to the air fryer. It literally gets use nearly every day and I'm on the second unit. I've even cooked steak in it. The only thing that it didn't cook to perfection was frozen meatballs, for some reason they puffed up while cooking. I even will make Garlic toast as a snack, perfection in 4 minutes! Mini frozen pizza... 7 minutes and BOOM!

When this one eventually goes bad I'll be looking in to the oven versions.

Quick air fryer wings.

Dry rub as you please. Put in instant pot basket... pressure cook on high for ten min (one cup of water... basket keeps wings out of water).. add two min for frozen wings.. quick release

Lightly coat in your favorite wet sauce (minimal sugar)... air fry at 360 for 10 min to crisp... pull and shake in your favorite wet sauce

The air fryer is the bomb diggity..... It great for smaller household...no preheating, uses less power than an oven and doesn't heat up the kitchen in the summertime. Its one of the few kitchen gadgets that I actually like.

This looks awesome!

My wife and I have been talking about buying an air fryer. We already have an Instant Pot and I use it several times a week. Love it...

Here's why I haven't bought an air fryer yet:

IT ONLY MAKES TEN FREAKING WINGS!

You went to all that trouble and only got 10 wings... What's everybody else supposed to eat? Are you really going to stand there and wait and repeat this recipe FOUR times to make enough wings for the whole family?

I am the only meat eater in my house so it's perfect for me. I also do steak and salmon pretty regularly.

He could have gotten 7 or 8 more wings in that pan. Of course I got the 5 quart version.

Thanks for sharing OP. Wife gave me an air fryer for Christmas and I absolutely destroyed the first batch of wings by stupidly following the recipe that came with it. Will try your method next time.

I've had two air fryers so the time may need adjusting a little. But you should be able to handle all that.

Ya just needs a BIGGER Air Fryer! We got a Fancy-Schmancy Really Big Toaster Oven for Christmas last year. It does everything but wash dishes. It will hold an entire 13x9 dish and has its own air fry basket. You can get a second one and do two batches of 12-16 wings in it at once. I haven't tried wings in it yet but I will get around to it!

Dang those were good wings.

My daughter got us one for Christmas, the 6qt one.
We use it nearly every day.

The other day I made back ribs in it I did my rub and sauce and cooked it at 220 deg for 3.5 hours. After brushing sauce on it 2 or 3 times, every hour, and flipping them half way thru, they slow cooked and stayed juicy and the BBQ sauce didn't blacken (burn). The last 1/2 hour I cooked them at 350 deg to get a little caramelizing of the sauce. Excellent.

On New Year's Day, I made 2 NY Strip steaks. I sprayed them with the olive oil Pam after seasoning so they would brown. 20 minutes at 370 deg and they were perfect.

Fries turn out great! Reg or sweet potato. I boil them for 5 minutes first to remove half the starch (carbs) then cook them at 400 deg for about 18-20 min Salt to taste. Excellent!

Wife made burgers tonight. 370 deg for about 15 min and they browned nicely with a nice, pink inside.

Last week I put a boneless pork loin on the spit. About 3#. 30 mins at 300 deg then 10 mins at 400 to brown.

Roasted veggies are probably the best. Broccoli, carrots, kale, Brussels sprouts, asparagus, etc. Make sure to toss in olive oil first and salt. 400 deeg for 15-20 mins and they are incredible.

As you can tell, I love this thing. It is more for a 2-3 person household, though, but it's perfect for the 2 of us.

I haven't used mine for veggies... Well potato are veggies, but I am going to now. But Tomorrow, I already used it for crab rangoon and egg rolls tonight.

How can they be quick using an Instant Pot? I got the knockoff Quick Pot which I assume is very similar, I can cook any Instant Pot recipe but the damn thing takes at least 30 minutes just to start cooking? Sure you save "cooking" time but unless it's a massive amount you loose at least that much waiting for the damn thing to heat up to do its pressure cooking thing.

Sorry for the hijack. :D Rant off.

But is there time and space to drink a few cold ones while solving the world’s problems around the grill?

How is an air fryer not just called an oven? Does it have a powerful blower or something that blows super hot air?

That's all it really is. From the top there is an oven eye with a fan over it that circulates hot air. It also have a basket... like a fryer and any drippings fall to the bottom, away from the eye. I think the literature says something along the line of "Your food fries its own fat/grease" which really isn't any different from an oven..... But it tends to do a very good job. I like to make my own thick tater chips.... I will spread a tablespoon of oil over a layer of chips to help it "fry" a little better.

With only a cup of water... it should only take 5 or less min to build pressure

we have the air fryer oven it has 5 big trays. My only problem with it is how do you get things like fried chicken to brown?

You get things to brown by spraying them with cooking spray like Pam. They come in different "flavors". I have and use Pam original, Pam Olive Oil and Pam Butter Flavor All work well and none have any fat grams (important to people on a fat free diest). There are also other cooking sprays out there.
