Air rifle...don't know where to put this...

Here’s a few Starlings I took out, and then here’s my pile of Starlings and Sparrows from this Summer 😬

Dang it...now I'm looking at PCPs and these chicom air compressors. I'm still a little confused about what equipment is necessary to fill a PCP. Some people use just compressors, some people fill tanks and then fill the weapon from that (for portability?) Some people using hand pumps...this is an entire world I didn't plan on getting in to.

If you don’t want to plunge down the PCP rabbit hole yet, you can also go multipump.

I recently picked up a crosman C362, converted it to .177 and put a Buck Rail supressor on it. At 4 pumps it is about the same power as my 1377 at 10 pumps.

My uncle would have kicked my ass for this. The birds eat mosquitoes and there's nothing he hates more than mosquitoes. That pile of birds could have eaten a lot of them.
They also eat baby Bluebirds and other native songbirds’ young. They are not welcome at my house.

Same goes for English Sparrows. They land in my yard, they go POP!

Some of the Gamos can be shockingly good shooters, provided your scope setup is sorted out and stable.

Best single thing you can do for your Gamo (and the many other imports that have copied its trigger design) is to get & install one of these:

I like the classics (hence my moniker), but I have a ten year old Gamo Big Cat that has terrific accuracy with Air Arms 8.4gr round noses, even with it’s atrocious factory-set trigger. I have one of Charlie Da Tuna’s triggers for it, but haven’t gotten around to installing it yet.

I've tried the Gamo's twice. First one i bought shot decent but couldn't get the scope to zero without shimming the mounts to the moon. I wasn't satisfied with that so i gave it away and tried another model of gamo. That one would zero but patterned like a shot gun. Baseball sized groups at 25 yards. Gave that one away too. YMMV
