Ok so I want to add another ak type rifle to the collection but I do not want one from the usual builders like century, aresenal, atlantic and james river. I am looking for stuff kind of like what NDS does. Help me out and list all of the manufacturers you can think of that actualy have built rifles for sale. Thanks.

NDS = NoDak Spud? I wasn't aware they sell built rifles.

A few reputable options that come to mind and aren't absurdly overpriced (ahem, RD) include:
  • Two Rivers Arms
  • Dead Goose Society
  • CMP Armory
I have an M92 pistol underfolded by Two Rivers and it's top notch. They also do some fantastic full builds. Can't personally vouch for the other two, but both seem to offer solid work and have good reviews in various AK channels. DGS has a few neat options currently in its online store.

EDIT: What exactly are you looking for in a second AK? Besides space to store the next five you'll buy :D I beat this dead horse whenever I get a chance, but I absolutely love my older Century Yugo M70AB2 on a DCI receiver. Century farmed out those builds instead of doing it themselves, and the quality shows. Tough as nails, a bit different than your run of the mill fixed stocker, and very accurate for an AK. I'm no fan of Century with regards to just about everything they do (and don't do), but my AB2 is terrific.

Just a bit of food for thought.

How about a Krebs?
Thay are at the far end of what I want to spend on another ak but not out of the question. I just really do not like the lower hand guard they put on everything they make. It would be a shame to pay 2 grand for one only to have to spend more changing things.

I'm still curious ... what is NDS if not NoDak? I'm not familiar with the acronym in relation to AKs otherwise.

Ahhh, it is n GEEE s ... gotcha! I've seen a few of their offerings on GB before. Actually think I bid on something Romanian from them once.

On their website now ... nice stuff (minus the Crapco mags).
