Hey folks,
I am building an AR pistol in 5.56 and I keep going back and forth on the barrel length/gas system setup and since it's been asked a million times over I am not going to ask what is best combo for a pistol. I have found a somewhat newer product (I think) that I want to ask about. I think these barrels came out last summer-ish and I cannot find a lot of user data or reviews on them.
SOT AGP (angled gas port) barrels. The gas port on the barrel is drilled at an angle, toward the muzzle which allows a longer than normal gas system on a shorter barrel, while still allowing for more dwell time.
I am thinking about the 9.2 inch barrel with a carbine length gas system. Sounds like great design to me but I would be interested in some opinions and thoughts based on scientific thought.

All of the reviews I can find about their products are on their 16 inch prebuilt rifles that do use these AGP barrels but I can't find squat on the barrels. All great reviews though.

A guy from Spikes and a guy from Ballistic Advantage got together and this is what they came up with, so the credentials are there.

Thanks.
