My race gun was a few dollars more than $1650.00. As they said, could have had 2 of those for mine

Would be interesting in 9 if I didn't have 2 STIs already. Remington bought Para so that's the likely genesis. I am just guessing though.

Sure looks like a revamped para. Not a bad thing. Part interchangeability would be the worst part about this gun.

Just a personal preference. After I started shooting 10mm, 40cal is really underwhelming to me.
