I took their Combo 101/102 handgun class on Sunday.
It was my first ever formal class. I gotta say, I loved it.
Ryan Coe and his team were very laid back and fun but very safe and completely professional.
The class was long and it was very hot out there but they were trying to jam 2 classes into one and there was a lot of info to absorb. I believe it actually ran from around 11:30 am to close to 6:45 pm.

He taught me a new way to aquire my grip and some new ways to reload. Very good stuff.
One of the drills that really stuck out was right near the end of the class. We were all cooked from the heat and I'm sure most of our minds were wandering by that time. The drill was a focus drill where you had to really use your head and look for the threat and not civilians. It was the perfect time in the class to throw a drill like that at us. It was a humbling experience to say the least.

Anyway, I will definitely go back and take more classes from these guys. The advanced concealed carry is next on my list.
Give them a shot, you wont be disappointed.

Thanks for the kind words. It was a long and hot day for sure. You are a fantastic shooter and one of the nicest students I have had the privilege to teach. Hope to see you back out here! -Ryan

I was at the class as well. I liked the moving target scenario and point shooting drills. It is always worth the time and money to go to Apex classes. You certainly get your moneys worth... I don't think anyone who has been to an Apex class will say they didn't.

If you haven't tried one you really should just do it. I have seen a complete novice come in and at the end was actually completing drills competently in the past. A lot of times people are hesitant to go because they are afraid to get compared to others, I know a few buddies have expressed that to me, but really that is not an issue to worry about. There will be all levels of shooters and everyone is there to learn and have fun. I find that people attending the class are gracious and give positive feedback. Everyone is a bit nervous at first then you get into the swing of it. Everyone also gets to stand in front of the whole group and do a drill. That stress is a good thing imho.

And Roland! I hope that sunburn wasn't too bad :) it kind of looked painful!
