Went to the gun show this morning kinda hoping it wouldn't be the same old crap and on a little obscure table between two GIANT gun racks I found this little gem hiding amongst a pile of old collector coins. Lee Enfield No. 1 MK III and it is in GREAT shape for a 100+ year old war horse...

Nice find, congrats! If you're looking for some good .303 ammo, PPU is hard to beat. I use it in my no.4 mk1, and it's very accurate ammo. It's around $15 per box.

Very nice. I still don't have any Enfields. :(

Great score. It looks incredibly clean and unmolested too.

Congratulations!

I roll my own ammo. lol I already bought a set of dies for it when I bought the rifle yesterday. :D

What are those 3 holes in thr receiver?
I have no idea. I am sure they are there for a reason. LMAO

It's like a hatcher hole on a M1903 rifle. It vents the gas in case of a head separation.

I have one of the Indian Enfields in .308. It is a good solid rifle.
